UGANDA PREPARES FOR WORLD EXPO 2010

Uganda has prepared for the world Expo 2010, which is to take place in China.
China will host a major World Expo from May 1 to October 31, 2010 in the commercial capital of Shanghai, under the theme “Better City, Better Life.”
At the Expo, each country will depict the different strides it is taking in the urban development vis-à-vis environmental conservation, and Uganda will use this opportunity to showcase its export potential and attract investors especially during the national day celebrations on October 9, 2010.
Different exhibitors from Uganda stretching from the coffee to handicrafts and agro processed products will woo audiences and help market Uganda.
The executive director of UEPB, Mrs. Florence Kata confirms that this is a great opportunity to showcase the country’s market exports. “Our tourism sector has unique historical and cultural heritage. We look forward to branding our products,” she said.
