Kimaka airstrip in Jinja will soon be renovated by government as a plan to promote tourism.
According to the deputy speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga, visitors are inconvenienced by the transport system in Uganda especially by heavy traffic jams. “These are busy people who will enjoy the possibility of landing at Entebbe Airport and taking a small plane to the sites to be toured in a short time possible,” she said
Uganda already has a range of airstrips in national parks, including Kayonza air strip at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Home of the mountain Gorillas, Pakuba Airstrip in

Murchison Falls National Park, and Kasese airstrip in Queen Elizabeth National Park, . These facilitate flying safaris to the different regions in the country.
