AMIN’S DEATH CAVE TO BE REFURBISHED FOR TOURISM

Amin’s Death Prison Cave, formerly used by Idi Amin to imprison and execute people from 1971 to 1979, is to be rehabilitated for international Tourism.
The Cave at Lubiri Palace will be rehabilitated in preparation for the Buganda tourism Expo which will take place from July 1 to July 4, which is aimed at celebrating and promoting culture as a tourism attraction and promote unique attractions of the Buganda kingdom.
The expo will include different activities like fashion, school performances of music and dance to contemporary drama shows highlighting poetry and comedy, display, education as well as entertaining the people with cultural history, lineage and live totems.
Vivian Lyazi, an official in the Ministry of tourism Trade and Industry, said that hotels, tour and travel companies would sell tourism wonders of the country.
