Local agents will charge service fee Starting early next year, due to the Soaring fuel prices.
The travel agents who will soon agree on the best rates to charge their customers have agreed that this is the only option for them to adapt and remain relevant in the industry with the onslaught of zero commission coming to the Ugandan market.
The charges which are signaling a new wave of competition in the industry are due to the increased fuel which is forcing airlines to cut commissions to travel agents.
This comes on the heels of the June declaration by International Air Travel Association (IATA) for100 per cent e-ticketing for all airlines a move that has seen some travel agents struggle to upgrade their systems and reduce stuff.

King Mswati III of the Kingdom of Swaziland took a visit to Bujagali falls and the source of the River Nile in Jinja.
The king who is on a state visit to Uganda visited the Bujagali falls which has been a sacred site for the Basoga in eastern Uganda for many generations.
